The White Company has quite a few stores dotted around the UK but my first experience was in the Westfield London Store. It's crammed to the rafters with beautiful candles, room scents, clothes, bed linen, bath robes, towels... It was a struggle not to buy everything... But I did leave with a couple of choice items.
This gorgeous dress in - what else - black! It's now on sale so it's a huge bargain at 49 pounds. The fit is fabulous and it's great quality.
This beautiful casual dress in ink! It's not on sale but I actually wore it about half a dozen times while we were overseas and it's ridiculously comfortable. Not currently on sale but it's still fairly good value! If they still had it available in Charcoal I would have bought that one as well.
This amazing cardigan. 100% cashmere, it's like being wrapped in silver kittens. It's a bit pricier at 130 pounds but the quality is undeniable and it's such a classic piece that I know I'll keep it for a very very long time. It was definitely an investment.
The White Company are also known for their gorgeous toiletries. Conscious of my baggage weight limit coming home, I bought a couple of candles only, but I honestly wish I had bought more. I selected Cassis, which combines fruity blackberries and blackcurrants with a relaxing woody base of cedar, clove and patchouli and White Rose, a divine combination of white tea roses, white lilies and white lilac blended with crisp bergamot and exotic amber. It was a really hard choice - I also loved Fresh Ginger, Verveine, Peony... To be honest I could have bought an entire suitcase full of candles and bath products but I really did have to be selective.

Dear Kitty, you seem to have discovered lots of my favourite shops in a fraction of the time it took me to find them!! Very good shopping skills you have!; White Company is very good; they have nice shop on Marylebone High St; there is also the Little White Company which does clothes, pjs, bedlinen etc for children, also a shop on Marylebone High St; also White Company outlet in Bicester Village; I buy these lovely blue and white check pjs for my boys, they make them look sweet and so much nicer than Spiderman pjs.. also bought cashmere cardi for friend's baby, adorable! i am so enjoying your blog! All your fault that domestic goodness is not happening!
I love candles too but they're so heavy that I often end up putting them through as carry on! :P These sound lovely! How do you compare them to Diptyque?
I like the look of the first dress. What are their sizes like? Also what is the rough cost of their postage? TIA.
Blighty - I knew you'd love The White Company! Isn't their stuff the best? I was so tempted by a baby cashmere hoodie (in caramel) I nearly bought one... Their stuff is very reasonable and such good quality!
NQN - I always carry them through as carry-on too! I am worried about them smashing in my suitcase! But I also travel with quite a few books - Mr K is trying to migrate me to a tablet PC as we speak - so my carry-on is usually quite full... Their scent is a lot more full bodied than Diptique candles but not as delicate in their fragrance. Sometimes I struggle to smell the Diptique ones so these are a good - if different option.
Miss Curious - I found their sizing fairly average. By average I mean normal. The sizing guide on the website is pretty accurate. The dress is very comfy and good value at that price. When I bought two dresses not long ago the postage was 15 pounds I think, but they will show you shipping as part of checkout. Also do a google search for discount coupons - I found a 15% off coupon!
